Sami Arap, 56, is the founder and senior partner of Arap, Nishi & Uyeda Advogados, a São Paulo-based law firm with experience in foreign, corporate and M&A business, infrastructure and finance project development, tax and real estate planning. .
He served on the Board of Directors of Ferrous Resources Limited and is currently a member of the Board of Surf Group. He was Legal Director of Brasil Telecom SA (2002-2005), Enron South America (1999-2002) and Odebrecht Construction Co. (1992-1999).
Sami holds the LL.B. Catholic university graduate from the São Paulo School of Law (1987), with a Masters in Comparative Jurisprudence from the New York University Law School (1990-1991) and an Instruction Program for the Diploma of Lawyers from the Harvard Law School (1991).
